About Us

Welcome to Forum Leverkusen

This is where culture comes to life! At Forum Leverkusen, visitors can enjoy events of the highest calibre and an impressive range of genres.

The venue regularly hosts leading German-speaking theatre companies as well as internationally renowned dance companies, orchestras, ensembles and artists. Forum Leverkusen is also in great demand as a venue for conferences, trade fairs, exhibitions and parties.

From theatre to jazz

This easily accessible cultural centre, with its striking hexagonal design by architect Ulrich S. von Altenstadt, provides the perfect setting for events of all kinds: as well as a theatre with almost 1,000 seats, it also offers venues for trade fairs, exhibitions and meetings for businesses, organisations and clubs.

The City of Leverkusen’s Department of Culture and City Marketing organises around a hundred guest performances each season across all areas of the performing arts and music: drama, dance theatre, operas, operettas, musicals, theatre for children and young people, cabaret, variety shows, and orchestral, chamber and organ concerts. The main venue is the Forum.

The city’s cultural programme is complemented by the involvement of numerous clubs, choirs and music groups. One such initiative, supported by the city, gave rise to the renowned Leverkusen Jazz Days, which take place every autumn and attract both international music stars and visitors from all over the world to Leverkusen.

Venues for every occasion

Among other facilities, the Forum boasts a large theatre auditorium with a full-size stage and 963 seats. This venue hosts plays, dance performances, operas, operettas, musicals, cabaret shows and orchestral concerts, whilst the Forum’s Agam Hall is home to cabaret, cabaret-style performances and participatory theatre, and the Forum’s Terrace Hall hosts parties, carnival events, galas and much more.

As a venue for hire, the Forum is of supra-regional importance. In addition to the event spaces mentioned above – which agencies and touring companies are always keen to book – the wide range of seminar, conference and lecture rooms, together with professional event technology, makes the Forum the ideal venue for congresses and trade fairs.
